When the pandemic hit, costume designer David Ochoa turned candle-maker, created a series of unique wax wonders from his Venice Beach bungalow.
Taking inspiration from sculptural artists and a mid-century modern aesthetic, David’s candles have a southern Californian vibe burnt into their DNA.
One-of-a-kind candles, architecturally influenced with a sense of humor. Range from an 80s boom box, a hand painted hi-top sneaker and the iconic Hollywood sign candle collaboration with The Academy Awards Museum and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce; unusual hues include a gradient technique and an eccentric splatter style.
